Biography

Jordan Overton is a lecturer in Childhood Education at SUNY Plattsburgh and a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology and Program Evaluation at Old Dominion University. His research focuses on the intersection of motivation, autonomy, and retention in teachers as well as technology in education, with a particular emphasis on supporting students with learning disabilities through emerging tools like AI. Drawing on his background as a former elementary educator and his ongoing dissertation work, Jordan brings both practical and research-based perspectives to teacher preparation and inclusive pedagogy.
