Jose Abreu
Biography
Jose Abreu is the Director of Supply Management at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Jose is also the E-Commerce Business Project Manager responsible for implementing a Business-To-Business, e-procurement application from Ariba at UM. As the Director of Supply Management, Jose manages the current Purchasing Application with total spend of over $230M as well as manages the Travel Department and the Duplicating Department. He is also responsible for the budgeting and planning processes for all of Supply Management.He has led many successful, enterprise-wide, cross-functional, cost cutting or revenue enhancing initiatives during the last four years. Examples include implementing EDI with strategic business partners, developing a university-wide, single vendor copier/fax program, implementing a comprehensive travel program, and outsourcing the copy centers.
He holds a BBA in Finance from Florida International University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
