I am an expert in the businesses of higher education, health care, and academic medicine; and in community & economic development in distressed urban communities.

I have more than 17 years'​ experience in management and operations of large, complex organizations across multiple sectors - health care, information technology, economic development, university, retail, political campaigns, state government, and local government.

• Experienced in database management and development, statistics, and business analytics.

• User of multiple data science and data analytics platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Cognos, ArcGIS, SAS, and Stata.

• Experienced as a manager and as an advisor to senior management in complex, decentralized, geographically and organizationally dispersed organizations.

• Extensive statistical training in a social science PhD program focused on quantitative methods.

• 12+ years' experience as a university instructor at multiple institutions, developing curricula and mentoring students in business, technology and the social sciences.

My current focus in my day job is on leading and growing a University-wide Human Resources analytics, reporting and compliance team (with my own particular emphasis on Medical School operational support).

I am also involved in compensation analysis, statistical analysis, and ad hoc reporting on a variety of academic and medical human resources issues, including the areas of compensation and talent development / retention / acquisition for physicians, biomedical researchers, and clinical health professionals.
