Biography

Joseph Paris is the Senior Director of IT Support Services at Northwestern University, where he oversees both the Research Computing and Data Services organization as well as Technology Support Services.  Included in this portfolio are services for high performance computing, cloud computing, data science, data management and associated security and regulatory compliance, end point management, university-wide service desk, and IT service management.  He is responsible for strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of IT support services.  Previously as a member of Argonne National Laboratory, Joseph supported the development of large-scale scientific visualization services, collaboration services, and scientific simulation.  Joseph’s background is in computer engineering and computer science having completed a Masters in Computer Engineering from Northwestern.
