Judy Perry

Biography

Judy Perry is the Research Manager in the Teacher Education Program at MIT. Perry’s research focuses on the use of handheld computers in educational settings. Her research projects include Palm-based participatory simulations, which embed participants in game-like simulations. Perry’s research also includes developing and assessing Augmented Reality simulations in which participants investigate realistic scenarios using location-specific information from Pocket PCs. Perry’s currently work also involves overseeing the development of toolkits, which allow individuals to create their own location-based simulations. Perry holds a B.A. from Yale University and an Ed. M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education concentrating in Technology in Education.
