
Julie Allen
Biography
Julia Allen has a professional background in instructional design and curriculum development dating back to 1998. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with minors in English and Computer Science from Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Texas A&M University-Texarkana in Texarkana, TX, and a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Julia currently works as the Learning Technologist II at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, where she serves on several committees. She is also an executive member of the A&M System’s Council for Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE), the chair of CATIE’s Accessibility and UDL task force, and the Quality Matters coordinator for the A&M System-wide consortium. In the past, Julia worked as a technical writer to several Fortune 500 firms such as Manville-Schuller, Qwest Communications, and Lockheed Martin.
