Biography
ulian specialises in teaching and exploring the theoretical foundations of the arts, multimedia and technology. This is accomplished through making recourse to aesthetics, philosophy and critical theory. He is particularly interested in the point of intersection between multimedia, such as music and the visual arts, including film.
Julian has over 15 years experience in delivering pedagogically-informed solutions to the use of educational technologies in higher education. A passionate researcher, he is interested in developing appropriate theories in this fast-developing field. His interests here include the student experience of technology, social media, assessments and feedback, virtual and augmented realities. He is also a regular speaker at international conferences.
Julian is also a regular yoga practitioner, classical guitarist, occasional photographer and now an incipient runner.
