Julie Myers

Biography

Julie Myers is the Chief Information Security Officer for the University of Rochester, reporting to the University's CIO. Julie's responsibilities include working collaboratively with the University community to grow the University-wide security program including security awareness campaigns and the continued development and deployment of the security defense in depth architecture. Her role also includes the tasks of assessing and reducing overall security risk and assuring compliance with government, University, and other regulatory policies and laws related to information security and privacy. Julie joined the University of Rochester in 2006, bringing with her 22 years of experience in information technology in a wide variety of roles. Julie's most recent position prior to joining the University was as the Global IT Director for Architecture, Security and Planning for Eastman Kodak Company. In this position, Julie was responsible for a global information security team assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, HIPAA, security policy and compliance, risk management and mitigation and information security awareness.
