Justin Lauzon

Biography

Justin Lauzon (he/him) has over ten years of experience as an education technologist, instructional designer, and faculty development coach. Since 2016, he has served as senior member of the Tufts University Online and Blended Programs team. Prior to joining Tufts, Justin held roles in the Massachusetts higher education system, serving as the director of online learning at Springfield Technical Community College (2012–2014) and as an instructional technologist at Framingham State University (2014–2016).

As a first generation college graduate, Justin has personally experienced the transformative potential of higher education. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to dismantling learning barriers and curating experiences that offer students opportunities for both self-discovery and professional advancement. With the increasing prevalence of AI tools, Justin is currently focused on helping his colleagues and faculty partners effectively and equitably leverage these powerful resources. He is particularly interested in the potential of AI-generated images to support teaching and learning.

Justin holds a B.Sc. in International Business from the College of Charleston and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, as well as a graduate certificate in Learning Design and Technology from the Harvard University Division of Continuing Education.
