Biography

Kaitlyn is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. She currently attends Jackson State University and majors in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Music. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, practicing her instrument (the bassoon), and when she has the time: drawing and crocheting. Her writing journey began at the age of two, which is when her grandmother—a former educator—began teaching her how to read and eventually write. She would grow to develop a firey love and passion for learning and mastering the craft of language. Her ultimate career goal is to become a novelist, short story writer, and a literary agent/editor. Oh, and a gigging musician! She hopes to inspire and captivate many with the power of words.
