Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and her Master of Arts degree in Adult Education from the University of South Florida. Her educational areas of interest are the design of learning spaces infused with technology and the design of adult curriculums that use technology to deliver their content. She has combined her experiences in the TV Broadcasting industry and the higher education environment to deliver educational experiences to adults.
Karen is the Director of Classroom Technology, Media Services and a Faculty Technology Trainer for the University of South Florida at Lakeland. Her group provides the technology support, webcast and videoconference class deliveries, technology usage and technology best practices training to the campus faculty, students and staff.
Karen recently collaborated with a group of USF colleagues to design a new smart technology building located on the shared USF and Polk State College Campus in Lakeland, Florida.
