Karen Swift

Biography

Karen Swift is the Director of User Support Services and Chief User Advocate at Stevens Institute of Technology.  She has extensive leadership experience in technology including infrastructure, enterprise systems, system operations, implementation, design, and client support. 

At Stevens, she is responsible for the campus Service Desk, providing support on behalf of Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance and several other cross-functional divisions.  She is also responsible for IT Change Management, ITSM, IT Strategy and Policy and setting the strategic vision for Technology and Stevens.

Karen is active with:

EDUCAUSE, presenting at several conferences, appointed to various connect and national committees; Blackboard, presenting at several conference and holding leadership positions in various committee and was one of the founding members of the Northeast Blackboard User Group and SysBug (nationwide); Active member of SIM NJ, a senior IT national organization, holding various SIM NJ board positions for the past 8 years, actively involved in the NJSIM Foundation and it’s various charities.  Also a member of SIM Women in Technology, CIO Women in Technology and CIO Pathways.
