Biography
Kathie Erdman provides students with individual career counseling and teaches traditional and online courses through the College of General Studies & Outreach Programs at South Dakota State University (SDSU). For the past several years, Kathie has collaborated with the Distance Education and the Educational Technology Center staff at SDSU to facilitate faculty development workshops. Workshop topics include the use of technology for instruction, online course design, and compliance with statewide course readiness guidelines. In 2004, Kathie received an award for innovative excellence in teaching, learning, and technology. Recent presentations include effective facilitation of online communication, developing academic advising programs, and providing student services via technology. Kathie earned her Ed.D. in Educational Administration/Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota and holds a M.S. in Counseling/College Student Development from Mankato State University.
