Kate Conners

Biography

Kate Conners has nearly three decades of experience in video, digital media and academic technology production. After serving 11years as a news director at NBC, Kate began working in the field of education. Her experience as a documentary filmmaker provided her the foundation of investigation and concept visualization. Serving both in public education and higher education for the last 20 yea rs developing and creating educational materials, her MaED research was focused on Virtual Learning Environments and the design of immersive educational experiences. She founded her own production company in 1995 and created educational content for many academic institutions .She went on to become the Instructional Technology Coordinator and Adjunct Professor in academic technology at Hamline University in St. Paul. She has created international educational experiences with colleagues in Africa, Germany, the Middle East, Hong Kong, and most recently was invited to Nairobi, Kenya to train academic technologists from across the African continent.
