Biography

Katie Sabourin is the director of the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. The DePeters Family Center provides the St. John Fisher community with collaborative leadership for the design and delivery of innovative teaching and learning activities. Through the Center, faculty have the ability to experiment with new and flexible instructional approaches and have access to high-quality tools and classroom spaces that will maximize effectiveness in a variety of teaching environments. Katie received her B.S. in Information Technology and M.S. in Learning & Knowledge Management Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has previous work experience in the learning and technology field in both academic and corporate settings and supporting both face-to-face and fully online education initiatives.
