Kelli Van Wasshenova

Biography

Kelli Van Wasshenova is Associate Director of Data Governance at Denison University, where she leads strategic change to strengthen informed decision-making across the institution. She builds sustainable data practices through cross-divisional collaboration, uniting governance, research, and technology teams as part of Denison’s Data and Decision Support initiative. Her work emphasizes proactive, project-based approaches that deliver immediate value to departments while also creating long-term institutional capacity through shared policies, processes, and a strong data culture.

Her professional interests focus on inclusive, mission-aligned approaches to data strategy that foster institutional resilience in times of change. Kelli is currently serving on the EDUCAUSE Data Governance Community Group Steering Committee. She holds an MS in Digital Humanities from University College London and an MA in English Literature from Eastern Michigan University.
