Corporate Perspectives on the EDUCAUSE 2018 Top 10 IT Issues
Five members of the EDUCAUSE Corporate Membership Advisory Committee share their perspectives on a few of the 2018 Top 10 IT Issues.
Kelly Doney brings nearly two decades of experience managing information technology projects in a variety of industries, including higher education. Ms. Doney’s professional focus has always been on how to assist customers and stakeholders with the “people” and “process” elements of a technology program to bring about more rapid technology adoption and customer success. She is currently the Vice President for Global Partner Success at Ellucian, where she is responsible for developing a delivery partner program to facilitate more effective service delivery and global growth. Ms. Doney also developed a management consulting practice at Ellucian to increase adoption of Ellucian’s solutions by providing a more comprehensive approach to product enablement and service delivery.
Prior to joining Ellucian, Ms. Doney was Associate Vice President for Enterprise Applications at Georgetown University where she established and executed the applications strategy for Georgetown’s enterprise applications, focusing on six key domains -- student, scholarly, administrative (HR/finance), business intelligence, CRM and research systems. While she was at Georgetown, it was one of three higher education institutions recognized by IDG Enterprise in its 2014 CIO 100 awards for shifting to cloud-based solutions for core business functions.
Before joining Georgetown, Ms. Doney worked with leading consultancies including Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting. As a consultant, she managed complex programs for federal clients in areas including technology strategy, technology modernization, data center consolidation, custom software development/integration, business process analysis and reengineering, and e-learning development. Ms. Doney also managed a user experience testing lab for General Electric Information Services and served as a human factors engineer and consultant for Exxon Biomedical Sciences.
