Kelly Wainwright

Biography

Kelly Wainwright is the Senior Director of Client Engagement for Information Technology at Lewis & Clark College. There, she with her Educational Technology staff works with the college community to integrate available technology into their teaching, research, learning and work environments. She also oversees the Information Technology Service Desk, a single point of contact for technology issues for students, staff and faculty. Kelly earned her BA in Foreign Languages and an MA in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College. She has taught many workshops and classes on the use of technology for all levels of computer users.

    With the emergence of strong open source contenders in the Learning Management System (LMS) arena, many schools are evaluating whether to stay with one of the commercial LMS products such as Blackboard/WebCT or moving to one of the open source solutions which are free to use, but offer no corporate support.
