Biography

Kent McKinney was most recently Special Consultant for Information Technologies at California State University East Bay, where he worked for several decades. He was developing special projects in support of the university network and telecommunications infrastructure. Previously, he was Senior Strategist and Senior Director of Information Systems, responsible for planning and direction of enterprise systems analysis and programming; network engineering, operations and security; central server systems administration and operations; and university telephone services. He also served on California State University system wide advisory groups for networking and identity management, as well as technical advisory councils for the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC).
