Biography

hroughout my professional life, I've always worked in communications. I've worked as a journalist, copywriter, video producer, website content developer, trainer, researcher and instructional designer.

I fell into the education sector some 15 years ago, starting out cataloguing white papers and helping out with some website work.

From there, I developed Australia's first national eLearning podcast - Elearning Insights - for Education.au (now folded into Curriculum Corporation) went on to develop digital learning environments in virtual worlds, conduct training in the use of elearning tools nationally and worked with communities of practice. I have presented internationally on the effective use of webinar and video conferencing tools and contributed to South Australia's eDayz VET conferences for several years.

I have worked for both the public and private sector in elearning and came to UniSA in 2015.

My qualifications include a BSci in Broadcasting and Advertising, a Cert IV TAE with the LLN unit of competency, a Diploma in Project Management, a Professional Certificate in Web Content Accessibility and various certificates in the use of online tools. I am currently undertaking postgraduate study in Online Education.
