Biography

Let me introduce myself, my name is Kevin Burney. I am 51 years of age and have lived in California all of my life. I have a wonderful wife of 24 years named Suzannah. She is an artist who specializes painting. We have a beautiful daughter named Krystal Skyy. We have a couple of mix puppies named Slash and Shabu. I make my living in the computer field. I work as an IT Director at the University of California, Berkeley. I do everything from hardware to software, research & development to troubleshooting and re-engineering. I’ve been programming computers for 35 years now. I just love technology. I have a passion for motorcycles, dirt bikes in particular. Although I do like road bikes, I get a greater feeling of freedom offroad. There are no speed limits offroad. I can go as fast as I want whenever I want. I am an adrenaline junkie at heart. In addition to motocross, I enjoy riding my Sea-Doo. Riding my Sea-Doo is a very close second to the exhilaration I get from riding motocross. I am also an accomplished bowler. I have been bowling as long as I’ve been riding motorcycles which is 35 years. Back in July, 1996 I accomplished the feat of rolling a perfect 300 game. It was very exhilarating, one of my life long goals finally realized. Suzannah and I both enjoy beer, not all beer, just beer with great flavor. There are so many great beers on the market today there is no reason to settle for just a good beer any longer. My favorite beers are Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Jupiter IPA, Schooners IPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Red Hook E.S.B., and Guinness Draught. I detest Budweiser and all the other mass produced lager style beers. I would give Coors, Miller, and Michelob a one or a two on a scale of ten and Bud would receive a minus five. I am a member of the AMA, ABC, ABT, PMI & MENSA. MENSA is an international group of people with IQ’s in the top 2 percent of the population. Both Suzannah and I love to watch M*A*S*H. We have been known to watch it three or four times a day (Hell I’m watching it right now). It seems funny to me that although I’ve been watching M*A*S*H for nearly 26 years, I still seem to run across an episode that I’ve haven’t seen in a long time. Other shows that I watch regularly are The Simpsons, X-Files, , South Park and E.R. My favorite channel is Comedy Central. You can never have enough laughter in your life. Music is another one of my passions. I mostly like classic old Rock & Roll, but I do listen to an considerable amount of Alternative.
