Aiya Williams

Biography

Aiya develops strategies to leverage technology in education to improve instructor efficiency and increase student engagement and learning. She manages a team that provides instructional technology and instructional design support and consulting, as well as lecture capture services to the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

She ran an instructional design consulting and development company for six years and worked with public and private universities, as well as private companies to create online learning programs, modules, and learning objects. She's also worked as a centralized Instructional Designer at Univeristy of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and the University of Southern California. Aiya holds an M.S. in Technical Communication and a B.A. in Global Technology Transfer, both from North Carolina State University. 

Aiya's cat is a known entity in her Zoom meetings and she's considering buying the cat its own keyboard. Outside work, Aiya hikes, swings kettlebells, dances, and teaches Stretch Therapy (stretchtherapyworks.com).
