Biography

I am the Associate Director of Duke's Teaching and Learning R&D Lab. My team does research to evaluate emerging technologies and pedagogies and partners with faculty across the university to support translational teaching scholarship.

    MOOC instructors typically find it easier to quantify and measure cognitive learning than affective learning, which relates to feeling and emotion. The authors examined four pathways for fostering affective learning in MOOCs to discover how students felt about the experience.
