Kim Rynearson

Biography

Kimberly (Kim) Rynearson is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Faculty Innovation at the Texas A&M University System. Throughout her career she has been a champion for technology's role in effective instruction and access to higher education. Furthermore, Dr. Rynearson's research has focused on methods for effective online instruction, identifying characteristics of successful online learners, and more recently, how generative artificial intelligence may enhance learning outcomes in higher education classrooms. In addition to her current role, Dr. Rynearson also served as a faculty member,  Director of the Center for Instructional Technology and Distributed Education, Director of Waco Outreach Programs, Associate Vice President for Outreach and Off-Campus Programs, Department Head for the Department of Psychological Sciences, Associate Dean for the College of Education, and Dean of the College of Education at Tarleton State University.  Dr. Rynearson completed her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the Texas Tech University, where she also earned a master's degree in Experimental Psychology. She also holds a Master of Education in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix.
