Kokou Efou
Biography
Hi, I’m Kokou! I’m an honors student at Georgia State University (GSU), studying Psychology with a minor in Computer Science, and I’m passionate about UX research and human-centered design. I’m fascinated by how data, behavior, and technology intersect to create intuitive, accessible, and meaningful digital experiences.
I believe that "closed mouths don't get fed," a mindset that has encouraged me to seek opportunities beyond the classroom and embrace experiences that challenge me to grow. My efforts throughout my undergraduate career haven't just been to prepare myself for an everchaniging workforce, but to round out who I am as an individual and professional in my personal pursuit of identifying what matters to me. This mindset has led me to a variety of opportunities. Whether representing Georgia State University at the CUNY PIT-Lab Pop-Up at the Oculus, earning MIT's Professional Certificate in Data Science and Machine Learning, or participating in the Georgia Partnership for Innovation (PIN) summer internship program, I've intentionally sought out experiences that deepen my understanding of research, technology, and their potential to improve people's lives.
On campus, I stay active through the Student Library Advisory Council, the Student Activity Fee Committee, and organizations like Tech4Creatives, Collegiate 100 (C100), and NSBE. In addition, I also serve as a Social Media Analyst for the Honors Creative Collective. As I continue exploring a career in UX research, I'm excited to connect with others who are passionate about technology and designing human-centered solutions that create meaningful impact.
