Biography

Kristen Kubenka is Assistant Director for the Texas A&M IT Security, Risk Management, Policy & Compliance Division and is responsible for leading the IT Security Assessment Team.  Kristen has worked at Texas A&M University for 27 years, with over 22 of those years in IT Security.

She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University, and began working as a developer at Texas A&M after graduation. Her career in IT Security began by providing support for Network Security services. A Lead Security Analyst position followed, and ultimately, the Lead for the Security Assessment Team. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)².
