Kristin Lepping

Biography

Kristin Lepping has been with the Rutgers Office of Advanced Research Computing since its inception in 2016 and is the department’s inaugural senior program coordinator, assistant director, and Director of Business Operations, Grants, and Workforce Development, working with University leaders to launch and establish Rutgers’ first centralized research computing, data, storage, and networking resources. In this role, she has been instrumental in the development of a University cyberinfrastructure (CI) strategic plan and value proposition; has created and implemented all of the department’s grant, HR, procurement, finance, communications, administrative, and operational business processes; has helped lead the department through reorganizations and leadership transitions; and has played a substantial role in campus cyberinfrastructure advancements and the national Research Computing and Data (RCD) professional landscape.

 

While Kristin has been a dedicated Rutgers staff member for over 13 years with experience across many facets of the institution’s complex business and research functions, she is most proud to be the parent, along with her husband, Dan, to two Rutgers Scarlet Knights – their amazing children, Peyton (SAS ’23) and Andrew (RBS ’26).
