Biography
I am a member of the technical group at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) at the Naval Postgraduate school, where she serves as the Manager of Instructional Design and Multimedia Development. My primary role at the Center is to work with all faculty members in the Homeland Security Master's program to determine requirements for technology and media to be used within the mixed residence/distance learning mode program to best achieve each instructor's desired learning objectives within their courses. Courses within the MA program are offered through a blended learning environment – utilizing multiple forms of streaming media, scenarios and gamed-based simulations to promote collaboration and invoke critical thinking skills in the in-residence and “virtual” classroom.
