Biography
Kyle Herron was appointed as the CIO for The Citadel in November 2015 and is responsible for the strategic leadership and planning of the institution's IT operations and security. Prior to assuming this role, Kyle was the Chief Operating Officer for the South Carolina Division of Technology and was responsible for technology operations, security, and privacy for the State of South Carolina. Kyle also held positions at the University of South Carolina, Structus Telesystems, and Truvista Communications. He holds a BS and an MBA, both from Winthrop University, and he is currently pursuing a doctorate from the University of South Carolina.
