Kyle Kraus

Biography

Kyle Stephanie Kraus is the Technology Training Speciality for eLearning at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her primary roles are to orient instructors to university policies, assist instructors in the transition to teaching online, to develop new online courses and provide training of the Learning Management System, Blackboard Learn. She is also responsible for the development of training and instructional materials for online students. As the coordinator of the eLearning Training process, she facilitates in the management and presentation of in-person workshops, webinars and online courses for both new online instructors and students.

Kyle received a BA in Planned Studies - Student Development from Ithaca College, and graduated from The University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008 with an M.Ed. in Educational Technology. She has worked at the university for the past 16 years in administrative and student support services. Kyle's interests and passions lie in non-traditional learning environments, adult learning theory, and in the adaptation of communication theory from in-person to asynchronous and synchronous online learning environments
