Biography

Kyle Solberg is an instructional support specialist with Iowa State University's College of Engineering Online Learning unit, with responsibilities including both instructional design and educational technology. In his role, he supports instructional faculty to deliver their courses online, using live lecture capture services and recommends pedagogical best practices. He is passionate about providing high-quality, accessible courses and content to online students while building a community of engagement between online students, on-campus students, and faculty.

In his personal life, Kyle uses his bachelor's degree in history to make history come to life as a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, and culture.
