Lani Boothman-Carpenter

Biography

Lani Boothman-Carpenter is an Associate Director of Resource Management with a strong background in strategic planning, resource allocation, and employee development. With extensive experience in partnering with Business Leaders, IT HR, and other IT Directors, Lani has a demonstrated track record of effectively communicating and facilitating business goals, programs, and processes in support of employee recruitment, performance, development, and retention.

At USF IT, Lani currently leads the Resource Management program and manages level I-III Resource Management positions. Lani uses data to evaluate and plan for current and future resource needs, including for projects with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. In this role, Lani is accountable for guidance, growth, and execution of strategy for the Resource Management program, and works closely with all levels of IT leadership to aid them in their strategies around talent recruitment and retainment.

Additionally, Lani serves as the lead Resource Manager for the Digital Innovations team in USF IT. In this capacity, Lani is responsible for managing the team's resources, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and training, and facilitating communication with other teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Lani brings a unique perspective to resource management, having worked in different industries and business functions, which has allowed L.B. to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with managing resources in complex and dynamic environments.

L.B. holds a Masters deree in Adult Education with a Concentration in Human Resource Development, a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Florida, and is a certified Gallup Strength's coach, Product Owner and Scrum Master.
