Larry Booth

Biography

Mr. Booth holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science Education and worked as a professor and curriculum innovator in both computer science and information technology for many years before coming to CCSU in the fall of 1997. While working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Business ’ Computer Information Systems track, Larry was fortunate be part of a team developing a new program in Information Technology. The new degree was launched in the fall of 1998 in conjunction with the formation of a new Department of Information Technology. Larry first served as Interim Head of the department, later became the Department Head and has been promoted to Associate Professor. Most recently, Mr. Booth represented CCSU’s IT Department in a collaborative effort to develop an online Bachelor of Science in Information Technology for the University System of Georgia. Larry has given up his Department Head duties to serve as CCSU’s representative on the WebBSIT Operating Board and as the advisor for Clayton State WebBSIT students.
