Biography
Laura E. Briggs has a B.Sc. in chemistry from the University of Waterloo (UW) and a MSc. in inorganic chemistry from the University of Western Ontario. After earning her MLIS degree from Western, she returned to UW to haunt her former professors by becoming the chemistry librarian. In 2003, she jumped at the opportunity to work with UWs Centre for Learning and Teaching Through Technology (LT3). This position allows her to cajole faculty members (such as her co-presenter at ELI 2007, James Skidmore) from all departments into making the library's resources an integral part of their courses. This photo of Laura was taken by James when she visited him during his vacation (oops sabbatical) in Germany in 2005.
