Lauren McSwain-Starrett

Biography

For the past 5 years, Lauren McSwain-Starrett has helped lead communications for the University of Virginia’s I.T. department, serving as the liaison between U.Va.’s technology community and its students, parents, faculty, and staff. In this capacity, she coordinates ITC's social media presence, drafts public announcements and news stories, develops webpages, plans events, and conducts outreach and marketing. She is also a frequent speaker on maximizing new media technologies for personal and professional growth while maintaining privacy and security.
