Lauren Ray
Biography
I am responsible for planning, managing and coordinating services in the UW Libraries Research Commons. I received my BA from Bryn Mawr College and MLIS from North Carolina Central University. I've spent the past six years in academic librarianship, working as a reference librarian at Portland State University and Highline Community College and reference intern at Duke University. I'm especially interested in using media and technology to bring the library closer to members of the academic community, and understanding how to better incorporate student-created digital content into the learning and research experience. In my role as Educational Outreach Services Librarian I work on developing and enhancing library services for students who are working professionals, taking evening and online courses through fee-based degree programs.EDUCAUSE Presentations
