Leanne McGiveron

Biography

Leanne McGiveron serves as the Associate Director of Business Relationship Management in Agriculture Information Technology (AgIT) at Purdue University. In late 2015, McGiveron was given the challenge to “bring the full potential of Purdue’s IT investment value directly to faculty.”  Work in corporate and Purdue Extension, as well as 20 years of higher education IT leadership experience, has lent itself well to the work in developing and directing this BRM program. Under McGiveron’s leadership, the BRM program has expanded as it is successfully creating and facilitating faculty and IT collaborations, improving technology adoption, optimizing the enterprise IT investment value, and seeking out innovation opportunities in these rapidly, changing times.

McGiveron has been given many opportunities to present a variety of technology topics at conferences throughout her career.  Most recently, she has presented at the Global BRMConnect in Washington D.C. and San Diego, as well as being invited by the BRM Institute BRM Webinar and co-present for the Unplugged event during the 2017 BRM Week. Popular BRM presentation topics have included BRM maturity and BRM metrics.

McGiveron holds the Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) certification. She also holds certifications in ITIL Foundations, Service Value & Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), Support Center Director. McGiveron earned a Master of Science in Adult Education from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Agriculture Extension Education.

McGiveron is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute.  She the Industry Champion for Higher Education, as well as serving as a Community Leader for Higher Education, Driving Business Value and Community of Interest Leader. She is also a member of the BRM Institute Council.
