Biography

Lee Hyde serves as the Director for ITS ResNET Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a team of 3 other full-time staff and 53 student staff who oversee the technology in the residential environment on campus.  With over 15 years of experience in higher education settings, Lee has a diverse background to draw upon when responding to student requests and concerns on campus.  For the past 2 years his team has been working with the eSports Club and over 10 campus partners to improve the gaming experience on campus, which reaches a major milestone as the new Carolina Gaming Arena opens in early Spring 2020.  Future goals include adding a professional production studio for streaming events, academic programs connected to the center, and a six fully supported varsity eSports teams.
