Raised in CT. Lived in Mexico for 10+ years. Resided in PA for 16 years. Former high school teacher in Mexico City (1994-2000). Former college professor (2000-2016; emeritus professor of history at University of Scranton). Director of Study Abroad at Western Michigan University (2016-2019). Director of Study Abroad and Faculty Enrichment at Western Michigan University (2019-presest). Academic research and publishing interests: gender and race in Latin America. Professional interests related to international education: risk management, creating opportunities for underserved student populations, using technology to increase office efficiency). Gay. Married with one child. Enjoys traveling, international restaurants, walking, craft beer, and reading.
