Biography
Leo Fernig is a Project Manager in the Registrar's Office at the University of British Columbia. He holds a BA in history from Cambridge University and a certificate in systems programming from Ryerson Polytechnic. For the past four years he has been managing a project to redevelop UBC's Student Information Systems entirely in Java. He is also on the steering committee of the JA-SIG (http://www.ja-sig.org/), a consortium of Universities involved in Java development.EDUCAUSE Publications
