Biography
Linda Carl is Head, Office of Distance Education and E-Learning Policy and Associate Director, the Friday Center for Continuing Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From 1996 to February 2003 she worked within the Offices of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs in a variety of positions. Since leaving the position of Assistant Provost, her current responsibilities focus on distance education and interdisciplinary education within Health Affairs.Carl has a BA and an MA from the University of California-Berkeley and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (adult and continuing education). She has worked at the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in continuing education, health education, the humanities, the performing arts, alumni affairs, and health affairs.
