Biography
Linda Mihalik serves as Director of Enterprise Academic Technology Initiatives at the University of South Carolina where she investigates emerging technologies and manages programs which impact the university system. Projects she managed include a system-wide web redesign, e-textbook pilot, and a cyber-infrastructure upgrade to South Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Currently she is investigating the use of virtual reality for teaching and learning. Linda's academic experience includes serving as Assistant Registrar at Virginia Tech and teaching computer science courses at Clemson and Temple Universities. In the private sector, she held positions in research and development, marketing, logistics, operations and support departments of NCR, AT&T and Sperry. She received her undergraduate degree in education from SUNY Oswego and a masters in computer and information science from Temple University.
