Link has over 30 years’ experience in higher education technology management. In his current capacity he works with all aspects of technology and analytics for the delivery of core services to Lone Star College System’s six colleges, ten resource centers, and two university centers.

The Lone Star College System (LSCS) is focused on delivering an exceptional education to our students. The number one goal of the institution is student success. The Office of College Services, aligns with this goal by focusing on the application of technology and metrics to support LSC’s instructional mission. Introducing a private cloud to rapidly meet the student, faculty, and staff needs – from high-availability to new service deployment – OTS leverages “Big Data” in a way that assists the institution in making better informed decisions. With the implementation of an advanced Enterprise Resource Planning system, classroom video integration, and private cloud computing the Office of Technology Services continues to focus on the application of technology to address business problems, add value to the institution, and enhance student success.

Link has published in Computer World, Intranet World, and Campus Technology. He has presented at EDUCAUSE (national, regional, and security), Cisco, ITsmf, VMworld, EMC World, Campus Technology, and League of Innovation. He is a current member of the Campus Technology Magazine editorial advisory board and has published articles focusing on improving service delivery to faculty, staff and students. Recent case studies have been published with Symantec - Altiris, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Cisco, and EMC. The Lone Star College System’s Office of Technology Services has received the following recognition: Campus Technology Innovator Award 2012, Center for Digital Government – Best in Texas 2012, Digital Education Achievement Award 2012, Computer World Laureate Class of 2012, Center for Digital Education – large community college class 1st -2012, 2nd - 2011, EMC Journey to the Cloud Award 2011, and the Symantec Visionary Award 2010.
