Biography

Dr. Lisa A. Kramer, DCS, is a graduate faculty member and researcher specializing in artificial intelligence, financial technology (FinTech), data science, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies in higher education. She teaches graduate courses in AI, machine learning, business analytics, decision support systems, and FinTech while mentoring students in applied research and innovation.

Dr. Kramer has extensive experience in online education, curriculum development, and instructional technology across multiple universities. Her research focuses on artificial general intelligence (AGI), human-computer interaction, explainable AI, responsible AI governance, quantum computing, and the future of intelligent systems in education and industry. She actively serves as an international conference reviewer and contributes to interdisciplinary research exploring the ethical, cognitive, and societal implications of advanced AI technologies.

As an EDUCAUSE member, Dr. Kramer is passionate about advancing digital transformation in higher education through innovative teaching, AI-enhanced learning environments, open technologies, and evidence-based instructional practices. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues to improve student success, expand access to technology, and prepare learners for the evolving AI-driven workforce.
