Elizabeth Wendland has been an educational software developer for nearly twenty years. She started her career writing software for MECC, the company that created such great Apple //e products as Oregon Trail and Number Munchers. Most recently she has been a developer and project manager for the University of Minnesota's Academic and Distributed Software group. This organization assists departments and faculty in developing software products using a variety of software tools including web technologies and 3d immersive worlds. She is very interested social networking tools and the opportunities they offer instructors.
