Senior Instructional Designer. Knowledgeable of several design models including ADDIE, SAM, Agile, and Design Thinking. Managed multiple concurrent projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining great rapport with stakeholders. Skilled in several authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite) and LMS products. Passionate about accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Learning Experience Design (LXD). Main research interests: accessibility, inclusive education, and mobile learning. Over 15 years of experience designing effective and engaging learning experiences in higher education. Collaborated with SMEs and the design team to develop over 300 online courses and build 15 fully online programs using a variety of instructional strategies and course authoring tools. Developed and delivered online course quality standards and web accessibility training to over 250 online instructors and eLearning staff. My core competencies include needs assessment, curriculum development, training design and delivery, online instructional design, research methods, strategic planning, grant writing, and project management.
Career Highlights:
- Project lead for the planning, development, implementation, and oversight of various aspects of the ACG Leadership Development Programs. Designs and develops training and development opportunities for employees and leaders to support ACG values and a diverse, talented, and skilled workforce.
- National award-winning eLearning professional in the categories of “teaching and learning” and “inclusive education.”
- Established a partnership with the Accessibility Services Department to launch a Universal Design for Learning initiative.
- Managed the design, development, and evaluation of IRSC’s award-winning Criminal Justice program, creating quality online courses based on open educational resources.
- Collaborated with Florida’s adult education stakeholders to conduct needs analysis and develop a professional development strategic plan for Florida’s adult educators.
