Lujean Baab

Biography

Lujean Baab is Senior Director of Networked Learning Design and Strategies for Technology-Enhanced Learning and Online Strategies at Virginia Tech where she leads the unit providing support for faculty developing courses and course elements for online, hybrid, flipped, IVC and blended delivery modes. She holds a doctorate in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University, an M.A. in Communications and a B.A. in English as well as certification as Instructional Technology Specialist K-12 in PA. She has been involved in teaching and learning both at a distance and in traditional classrooms for over 15 years. Her areas of research interest include; affect of cohort approach and peer interaction on retention of faculty developing courses with instructional design support; students' sense of classroom community online, and managing group work in online classrooms.
