Biography
Lunden MacDonald is Executive Director of Roadways at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She holds a faculty line as a Professor of Spanish in the Modern Languages Department and continues to passionately explore 18th- and 19th-century Peninsular literature and the culture and civilization of Spain in the classroom. As an administrative practitioner, Dr. MacDonald has built upon the work she did at Princeton University in Enlightenment studies in order to focus on post-secondary studies as an avenue for democratic accessibility. She is dedicating her current efforts to the achievement of outcomes equity and increased retention in higher education by using a platform of cultural competence that supports students of color and first-generation student success. The cornerstone of Lunden’s leadership platform is effective inter- and intra-institutional collaboration on local, national and international levels.
