Lynn McRae

Biography

Lynn retired in 2018 after 9 years at Stanford Libraries as Information Architect for the Stanford Digital Repository. Previously his position in the central IT Strategy and Planning group involved designing the long term information architectures for the Stanford campus, buillding on his responsibilties for Stanford's Registry architecture/development and the design of Stanford's Authority (Privilege) management system. In his 40 year career at Stanford he has seen technologies come but the Virgo in him always found the challenges of wrangling and leveraging information rewarding. He now collects art, minerals, and Southwestern pottery and secretly wants to just remodel houses and build furniture.
