Mahmoud Youssef

Biography

I'm an IT professional with extensive experience in the IT industry and academia. Currently, I oversee the Integration and Development team at the George Washington University. Before joining GW, I led the Enterprise Systems and User Computing  teams at the Urban Institute and the Office of Technology and Instructional Services at Rutgers Business School in addition to several other IT positions prior to that. I've also served as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Rutgers Business School and led the Business Information Systems Department at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. My expertise spans Enterprise Application, Integration, Development, and Enterprise Architecture. I'm also very well versed in Infrastructure, Information Systems Security, and Digital Strategy. 

In my academic career, I conducted research on the Business Value of IT, Location Privacy, and Semantic Search and Representation. I've also  taught a broad range of courses for doctorate, masters, and undergraduate students.

I have earned PhD in Information Technology and MBA from Rutgers University and B.Sc. in Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt. I have also earned several professional certificates including Project Management Professional, Certified TOGAF Architect, Certified Prosci Change Practitioner, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
